The pandemic has dramatically altered global supply chains, complicating not only capacity availability, but also the traditional ways in which carriers and forwarders cooperate. Consequently, the current state of forwarder-controlled charters, block-space negotiation and digitalization initiatives catalyzed by the pandemic could leave forwarder-carrier communication changed long after the world emerges from the pandemic.
